The Port of Constanța has announced that it has a new state-of-the-art anti-drone system, implemented by Rasirom, which allows operators to take control of unauthorized drones and bring them down in predefined areas. The recent incident involved a drone belonging to tourists on a cruise ship, which was detected in the passenger terminal area.

Authorities have confirmed that the recorded video did not capture military objectives or sensitive areas. The anti-drone system uses a non-destructive approach, allowing for omnidirectional detection of drones and control over them, without affecting legitimate communications in the port. The jamming component is in the process of authorization, and the system will be extended to all ports managed by CN APM SA Constanța, playing an essential role in protecting critical infrastructure and the security of low-altitude airspace.
