Representatives of the Europol Union have reported the inhumane working conditions of the police officers in Gheorgheni, where the temperature has dropped to approximately 11 degrees Celsius due to the failure of the heating plant. They criticized the incompetence and negligence of the management, which has led to the degradation of the premises and working conditions.
Following the protests, the Harghita County Police Inspectorate announced that the heating plant has been temporarily restarted to ensure an optimal temperature, while the procedure for acquiring a new heating plant is underway.
The union members emphasized that this is not just about comfort, but about the necessity of maintaining minimum working conditions for public safety, urging citizens to come prepared with warm clothing when interacting with the police.
