Florești, located about 15 km from Cluj-Napoca, has become an extremely sought-after area, and housing prices have exploded in the last five years, with an increase of 1000 euros per square meter. A two-bedroom apartment now costs between 50,000 and 110,000 euros, while those with four bedrooms can reach up to 250,000 euros.

This commune has become an alternative for those moving from Cluj, with prices rivaling those in the capital. Although locals believe that these increases are not justified, the migration from Cluj to Florești has led to increased demand and, implicitly, to price hikes. In comparison, prices in other major cities in Romania, such as Brașov and Sibiu, have also risen significantly, but Florești proves to be a preferred destination for housing.
