Transelectrica announced that the Mintia Thermal Power Plant, which will become the largest gas power plant in the European Union built on a single site, has passed the first interconnection tests.
On Monday, voltage tests were conducted from the 400 kV Mintia station for the connection related to Gas Turbine 1. The test was completed at 15:26, and specialists continue the technical checks of the electrical installations, a process that will take approximately 30 days. The project, carried out through a private investment of over 1.2 billion euros, is 83% complete and is essential for the energy security of Romania.
The interconnection tests will continue until October, when their completion is expected.
