The interim Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan announced the connection of two state-of-the-art power plants to the National Energy System, CET Palas in Constanța and CET Hidrocarburi in Arad, projects funded through PNRR.

These plants are now connected to the grid, and the projects are considered completed in terms of funding.

In the coming months, tests and commissioning will take place, with normal operation expected from the winter season.

CET Palas will have a capacity of 97 MW in cogeneration, while CET Hidrocarburi will produce over 30 MW of electricity, three times more than before the modernization. These investments are essential for the modernization of heating in the two cities and will contribute to increasing gas production capacities in the National Energy System.

The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of collaboration between local administrations, designers, and builders for the successful completion of these projects.
