The Ministry of Environment has won a victory in the first instance in the lawsuit filed by Romsilva employees, gathered in the 'Silva' Federation, who requested the suspension of the government decision reorganizing the agency. This reform reduced the number of county directorates from 41 to 19, being essential for accessing European funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan. The decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeal allows the continuation of the reform, and the union members protested on Tuesday in front of the Government, expressing their dissatisfaction regarding the limitation of bonuses and the possible increase in the retirement age. Employees argue that the reorganization creates chaos and affects their salary rights. The government decision remains in force but can be contested within five days. If the court's decision becomes final, the reform will be considered completed, eliminating the risk of losing European funds.
