The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Romania warns citizens traveling to the Kingdom of the Netherlands that the Dutch authorities have decided to extend controls at internal, land, and airport borders until September 30, 2026.
These controls are selective and may take place on roadways, on international trains, and at airports, including for flights from other Schengen states. The MFA emphasizes the importance of having a valid travel document, either a passport or an identity card, to cross the Dutch border. Romanian citizens can request consular assistance through the Consular Section of the Romanian Embassy in The Hague, and in case of emergency, they can call the embassy's permanent number.
Additionally, the MFA reminds the use of the "Travel Informed" application for useful information regarding travel.
