Meteorologists have issued a yellow warning for unstable weather in Romania, valid for two days.

On Thursday, May 28, between 10 AM and 9 PM, the wind will intensify in the regions of Moldova, Maramureș, Transylvania, southern Banat, and western Oltenia, with gusts of 50–70 km/h. In the mountains, in the Southern and Western Carpathians, gusts may exceed 70–90 km/h. The southern regions will experience atmospheric instability, with torrential downpours, electrical discharges, and isolated hail, accumulating 10–20 liters per square meter in 1–3 hours.

On Friday, May 29, a new yellow warning will be active from 10 AM to 9 PM, targeting Maramureș, Transylvania, Moldova, and northern Dobrogea, with similar gusts. The mountainous areas remain the most affected, while the rest of the country is expected to experience moderate wind intensifications.
