The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) of Romania has issued a travel warning for Slovenia, informing Romanian citizens about the extension of border controls with Hungary and Croatia, valid until June 21, 2026. These measures apply to the 24 land border crossing points for road traffic and to the seven points for rail traffic between Slovenia and Croatia, as well as to the seven crossing points with Hungary.

MAE emphasizes the importance of having a valid identity document during travel and provides contact information for consular assistance, including emergency numbers for special situations. Romanian citizens are encouraged to consult official websites for additional information.
