The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Romania warns Romanian citizens who are in or intend to travel to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam about the tropical storm Kalmaegi, which will particularly affect the regions of Da Nang, Quang Ngai, and Khanh Hoa between November 6 and 9. The storm will bring strong gusts of wind, severe flooding, landslides, and disruptions to air traffic.

Romanian citizens are advised to avoid non-essential travel to the cities of Hue, Da Nang, Hoi An, and Nha Trang and to follow the instructions of local authorities in case of alerts. The MFA recommends monitoring information from official websites and, in case of emergency, citizens can request consular assistance at the Romanian Embassy in Hanoi.
