The Ministry of Environment announced the closing of the application stage for the position of general director of the National Administration 'Apele Române' (ANAR), receiving 15 applications. Their evaluation will be carried out by a commission made up of five experts, including the interim general director, Sorin Rădășanu. Minister Diana Buzoianu emphasized the importance of a transparent selection process, mentioning that previous appointments did not meet clear competence criteria. The commission includes specialists with extensive experience in water management and public management, and interviews for candidates are scheduled for January 15-16, 2026. The selection process was initiated on January 6, following the resignation of Florin Ghiță, after the scandal regarding the supply of drinking water in Prahova.
