The Ministry of Culture of Romania will provide cultural operators with a budget of over 37 million lei for non-reimbursable funding of cultural projects, during the period of July 2026 - 2029.

The government has approved a memorandum that allows the implementation of a de minimis aid scheme dedicated to these projects. Calls for funding will be conducted through the Digital System for Cultural Funding Processes, available at fonduri-cultura.ro.

Funding will vary between 10,000 and 100,000 euros, depending on the specifics of the projects. The ministry will support initiatives from various fields, including performing arts, music, heritage, books, visual arts, design, festivals, and creative industries, with the aim of stimulating creation and public access.

Starting in January 2027, a state aid scheme will be implemented, providing predictability for the creative cultural sector.
