The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, stated that he requested the honorable resignation of the management of Salrom, but they refused.
Following the conclusions of the report from the Prime Minister's Control Body, which highlights the disastrous management of resources by the National Salt Company, Miruță has summoned the management to court to convene a meeting of the General Assembly of Shareholders.
He mentioned that the Ministry of Economy is analyzing the dismissal of the administrators and the reform of mining legislation. He also emphasized that patience has its limits and that they are working on a solution to turn common sense into action. The checks were initiated after the flooding of the Praid Salt Mine in May 2025.
