The Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, announced the dismissal of the management of Salrom, accusing them of negligence and incompetence in managing state resources. The management was changed after two official reports highlighted unnecessary purchases and the collapse of a salt mine.
Miruță emphasized that, instead of "piles and combinations," professionals with experience in the field will be appointed, selected from the CVs of those who applied on the ministry's website. He also mentioned that the former management began to threaten with lawsuits, but stated that responsibility comes with representing the state. In addition, the minister announced aid measures for the residents of Praid affected by floods, including compensation schemes and support for businesses.
