The National Salt Company - SALROM S.A reacted to the conclusions of the Prime Minister's Control Body regarding the disaster at the Praid Salt Mine, emphasizing that in the last three years it has allocated all necessary funds for the protection of the deposit and equipment. The management of SALROM considers the statements of the Minister of Economy, Radu Miruță, to be defamatory and unfounded, accusing him of inaction regarding the closure of old mines.

The CCPM report highlighted the underestimation of flood risks and the temporary measures taken by SALROM, but the company claims that the problems were caused by exceptional natural factors and that the responsibility for regulating watercourses lies with ANAR. SALROM has requested clarifications regarding the use of funds for regulation and has reaffirmed that it has invested significantly in the protection of the salt mine. The Minister of Economy has called for the resignation of SALROM's management, accusing it of mismanagement of resources, while the Minister of Environment has stated that reforms in the field are necessary.
