The Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, rejected the false information circulating online, according to which aircraft with injured American soldiers had landed at Mihail Kogălniceanu Air Base 57. In a Facebook post, Miruță emphasized that the base's activities are proceeding normally, without medical or logistical emergencies. He warned that such false news aims to induce panic and undermine public trust in state institutions. The minister called on citizens to verify information before sharing it, emphasizing that each share amplifies the effects of disinformation. Miruță reaffirmed Romania's commitment as a serious and predictable partner, highlighting the importance of truth in the context of national security.
