Ilie Bolojan requested a Spartan military aircraft on Friday to urgently return from the Republic of Moldova, where he is on an official visit. The request was made in the context of convening a meeting of the Supreme Council of National Defense (CSAT), which Bolojan will not be able to attend in person, delegating the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, to represent him. The meeting was convened by President Nicușor Dan, following the incident in which a Russian drone crashed into a building in Galați, injuring two residents.

Bolojan condemned the incident as "unacceptable" and requested NATO support in the form of military technology, including radar and anti-aircraft systems, to address aerial threats. The drone caused an explosion and fire in an apartment on the 10th floor, and the victims were transported to the hospital, while others received care for panic attacks.
