Raisa Spirea, the daughter of the mayor Valerică Spirea from the Poiana Lacului commune, Argeș, celebrated her coming of age with an extravagant party at the President restaurant, attended by approximately 350 guests and well-known artists, such as Vlăduța Lupău and Bogdan from Ploiești. Her gift, a Mercedes GLE 63 AMG, was brought directly by the artists and, according to the mayor, would have a value of 80,000 euros, although estimates for a new model are around 150,000 euros. The mayor explained that the money comes from a compensation process but avoided providing precise details about the amount received. He also mentioned the costs for the artists, which amounted to 13,000 euros. Despite the criticism regarding the opulence of the event, the mayor stated that he sees no problem in organizing such a party. Vlăduța Lupău's reaction was ironic, comparing the gift to her experience of receiving money for driving school. The Mercedes received by Raisa is a symbol of luxury and performance, featuring a V8 biturbo engine and a market price in Europe between 140,000 and 185,000 euros.
