The DNA prosecutors from Timișoara conducted searches at the Caransebeș Municipal Hospital and at the homes of the suspects, targeting the hospital manager, Dr. Singh Bhupinder, a county councilor, and a businessman. Bhupinder, an Indian citizen with Romanian citizenship, is accused of directly awarding contracts for the modernization of the hospital, receiving bribes in return.
