The Lunguleţu Police Chief is being investigated for disciplinary violations after allegedly showing up to work under the influence of alcohol.

A man from the Lunguleţu commune reported to the Titu Police that the head of the Lunguleţu Police Station had shown up to work drunk. The Dâmboviţa County Police Inspectorate has set up an operational team to verify the complaint.

It was found that the police officer was not scheduled for duty, but was conducting activities related to a criminal case, calling individuals for hearings. During this, a conflict broke out outside the premises, and several acts of violence were reported. A criminal case was opened for assault, destruction, abusive conduct, and deprivation of liberty.

The Inspectorate has initiated a preliminary investigation to establish the disciplinary violations of the police officer, emphasizing that it does not tolerate behaviors that affect the institution's prestige.
