The snow and heavy rains are slowing down the works on the A7 Highway. The builders are facing delays on the Focșani–Pașcani section.

The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration announced that the works on the A7 highway are blocked due to unfavorable weather, with strong winds and heavy rains preventing access for machinery on several sections between Focșani and Pașcani.

The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Horațiu Cosma, stated that 5,000 workers are active on the construction sites of the Moldova Highway, especially on the section between Adjud and Pașcani, in order to meet the deadlines set by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). However, considering the weather conditions, the completion deadline for the works, set for August 31, is becoming increasingly difficult to achieve for the Romanian contractor Dorinel Umbrărescu. Currently, work is being done on approximately 120 kilometers of highway between Adjud and Pașcani.
