The Minister of Labor, Florin Manole, stated that the social program to support couples and single individuals for increasing birth rates, through in vitro fertilization (IVF), will be financed both from the state budget and from European funds. After the approval of the national budget, the necessary steps will be taken to access European funds, with a project file that will be sent to the Ministry of Investments and European Projects. Manole mentioned that the aim is to double the spending for the IVF program, from 100 million lei last year, estimating that this year between 10,000 and 12,000 couples will benefit from funds. The budget is expected to be approved by the end of February, and the program will be implemented as a priority.
