Representatives of the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) proposed an "agreement for Justice and institutional stability," which emphasizes that Justice should not be subject to political attacks or campaigns. The agreement aims to clarify milestone 215 regarding judges' pensions, which has been considered fulfilled, and calls for a unified legislative solution for retirement. ICCJ demands respect for the independence of Justice and the cessation of political attacks, emphasizing that any legislative change must be made in consultation with the judicial system. It also calls for a phased plan for legislative changes and a fair proportion between salaries and pensions, to ensure the financial and professional stability of judges. The agreement highlights the importance of cooperation between institutions to fulfill commitments from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and to avoid losing European funds.
