The High Court of Cassation and Justice annulled the 6-year sentence of the former head of the Health Insurance House, Lucian Duță.

The High Court of Cassation and Justice – led by Lia Savonea – has granted the former head of CNAS an extraordinary appeal and decided to annul his 6-year prison sentence. Duță was definitively convicted in July 2022, being accused by DNA of receiving a bribe of 6.3 million euros in exchange for awarding a public funds contract to two software companies for the implementation of the health card.
