The headdress from Coțofenești and two Dacian bracelets, displayed starting today at the National Museum of History. Until when they can be seen.

The helmet from Coţofeneşti and two Dacian bracelets that were recovered after the theft from the Drents Museum will be publicly displayed at the National Museum of Romanian History (MNIR) starting today, for a period of 10 days. Subsequently, they will undergo restoration.

The Dacian treasure arrived on Tuesday in Bucharest and MNIR organized a presentation of it.

Cornel Ilie, the interim manager of MNIR, stated that there are no doubts regarding the authenticity of the helmet from Coţofeneşti, which will enter the restoration process.

 "For a period of ten days, the helmet from Coţofeneşti and the two recovered Dacian royal bracelets will be publicly displayed at the National Museum of Romanian History, in the condition in which they were recovered, before entering the restoration process,” specified MNIR manager Cornel Ilie.

Robert van Langh, the director of the Drents Museum in the Netherlands, emphasized the importance of the return of these artifacts, mentioning the efforts of the authorities from Romania and the Netherlands. The helmet, dated to the 4th century BC, shows damage, but the restoration will be carried out using appropriate methods.

The Dacian bracelets, discovered at Sarmizegetusa Regia, show no signs of destruction. Demeter András István, the Minister of Culture, confirmed that the objects will also be displayed in other museums, emphasizing the importance of accessibility to heritage.
