The Drents Museum presented on Thursday the Helmet from Coțofenești and two of the three Dacian bracelets stolen in January last year.

The golden helmet from Coțofenești was recovered after more than a year from the robbery at the Drents Museum, and the Dutch authorities presented the first images of this Dacian treasure.

The Dutch authorities organized a conference to show the public these valuable artifacts, highlighting their historical importance.

How the Dacian treasure was found

Thus, according to the latest information presented at the press conference, only two of these bracelets were found, and the third bracelet is still being searched for.

"The art treasures were handed over to us yesterday through the intervention of the defendants' lawyers. In this regard, procedural agreements were concluded. These agreements will be discussed soon in court," said the Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Netherlands, Corien Fahner.

The helmet from Coțofenești suffered minor damage. "There is no permanent damage to the helmet; it is just slightly bent," however, "the decorations are intact," the Dutch authorities said.

The presented images offer a detailed view of the recovered Dacian treasure, marking a significant moment in the efforts to recover stolen cultural goods.
