The mayor of Piatra-Neamț, Adrian Niță, announced the installation of the first intelligent climate corridor in Piatra-Neamț, an innovative system that sprays a fine curtain of water to cool passersby on hot days.

The project, unique in the country, aims to improve the comfort of residents and tourists, considering the high temperatures. The corridor activates automatically when the temperature reaches 27 degrees Celsius, operating for 15 minutes with a 5-minute pause. The system consumes approximately 15 liters of water per hour and is equipped with temperature and humidity sensors, stopping automatically in case of rain.

Another four such installations will be placed in heavily trafficked areas, each having drinking fountains and stations for pets.

The mayor mentioned that the old fountains will be gradually replaced with modern models, and a new fountain will be installed in Nicu Albu Park, at the request of the residents.
