On Sunday afternoon, firefighters from Timiș County intervened in several cases of gas leaks, responding to calls from Timișoara and Buziaș. At 1:50 PM, crews were alerted by a smell of gas in a ten-story building on Constructorilor Street, where it was found that the problem originated from the heating system of an apartment. The firefighters acted to ventilate the area, and the measurements taken did not indicate dangerous values.
Around 2:00 PM, another intervention took place in Buziaș, where the gas leaks were coming from a meter, and the firefighters contacted the local gas distributor. At 2:20 PM, a team from the Timișoara Detachment 2 intervened on Măslinul Street, where they identified gas leaks in the stairwell of a four-story building. The gas supply was stopped, and the firefighters continued ventilating. No evacuations of people were reported following these interventions.
