Firefighters from ISU Neamț intervened at the County Hospital in Piatra Neamț after a strong gas smell was reported outside the building. Members of SPSU also arrived at the scene, and representatives of Delgaz Grid were called in to repair the fault. Following the checks, the firefighters determined that the smell was coming from a gas distribution pipe located outside the building, which was defective. The crews took the specific fire prevention and extinguishing measures and checked whether it was necessary to evacuate the people inside the medical facility. According to ISU Neamț, it was not necessary to evacuate the patients and medical staff. However, pedestrian and vehicle access in the area was restricted, and people and several cars were moved away from the affected perimeter. The Delgaz Grid team stopped the gas supply until the fault was repaired. The firefighters remained at the scene to prevent a fire or other incidents.
