The firefighters from Bihor continue the action to extinguish a forest fire that broke out two days ago, in the Tarcăița area.
Over 60 military firefighters, assisted by foresters and volunteers, are facing difficulties due to the steep terrain, lack of water sources, and gusts of wind that propel the sparks.
The Bihor Emergency Situations Inspectorate (ISU) has carried out 10 missions in nine localities to combat dry vegetation fires. The mission to extinguish the fire in the Tarcăița forest continues on Monday, being coordinated by Colonel Csilik Alexandru Adrian. Firefighters worked intensively over the weekend but were forced to temporarily withdraw due to reduced visibility and difficult terrain.
By Monday morning, the fire had affected approximately 17 hectares of litter and 11 hectares of dry vegetation. The intervention continues to limit the spread of the fire and protect the forest fund.
