The General Directorate for Driving Licenses and Registrations (DGPCI) has announced that, starting from September 15, 2026, the fees for issuing driving licenses, registration certificates, and provisional circulation authorizations will increase significantly. Thus, the driving license will cost 139 lei, compared to 89 lei, which represents an increase of 50 lei. The registration certificate will have a new fee of 76 lei, an increase of 27 lei, while the provisional circulation authorization will reach 25 lei, up from 13 lei.

DGPCI emphasizes that amounts paid before September 15, 2026, cannot be used after the new fees come into effect. Payments for vehicle documents can be made through SelfPay terminals or online, on the Ghișeul.ro platform. Interested individuals are advised to be careful when making the payment to avoid inconveniences.
