This requires employers to inform candidates about the minimum and maximum salaries for the positions they are applying for, as well as about the pay differences between women and men. Although many companies in sales and industry have already started to display salaries, the incomes of specialists often remain confidential, and negotiations take place individually. Companies with over 250 employees will need to report annual salary differences, while smaller ones will do so every three years. If a difference of more than 5% is found between the salaries of women and men for the same work, employers will be required to take action. At the European level, the implementation of the directive varies, and penalties for non-compliance can reach up to 4% of the companies' turnover.
