On Thursday, the Government launched the guvernanța.gov.ro platform, publishing information about the management of 121 state-owned companies. The tool compiles data on the income, management contracts, CVs and political affiliations of people serving on the boards of directors, supervisory boards and executive boards of these companies.
The available data indicate that, among the 586 people included in the political affiliation section, 46 are associated with the PSD, 43 with the PNL, 17 with the USR and one with the UDMR. Another 360 people are listed as unaffiliated, while no affiliation is specified for 119. The Government emphasizes that the information reflects the categories displayed on the platform and does not represent an independent verification of current political membership.
Regarding income, more than 370 people earn no more than 25,000 lei a month, 115 have incomes between 25,000 and 50,000 lei, and 36 earn between 50,000 and 100,000 lei. One person exceeds the threshold of 100,000 lei per month. At the same time, 104 people hold a combined total of 217 positions across 98 state-owned companies.
The platform provides access to more than 1,350 public documents, including 669 CVs and 630 records on allowances and management contracts. Users can search for people or companies and sort the results by income or the number of positions held.
The initiative, launched at the proposal of Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu, is part of the announced process to reform and increase transparency at state-owned companies, under GEO No. 109/2011.
