European Commissioner Maria Luís Albuquerque will make a visit to Bucharest, where she will meet with the governor of the National Bank of Romania, Mugur Isărescu, and the Minister of Finance, Alexandru Nazare. The objective of the visit is to strengthen the dialogue between European institutions and national partners in the financial, economic, and social fields, according to a statement from the European Commission.
During the meetings on Thursday, Albuquerque will discuss with the president of the Financial Supervisory Authority, Alexandru Petrescu, and with representatives of the financial sector, including organizations such as AURSF, UNSAR, and ARB. She will also participate in a dialogue with students from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies on topics related to the European Union. On Friday, the commissioner will meet with the Minister of Finance and will participate in a round table with the main trade union confederations in Romania, such as BNS and Cartel ALFA, as well as with representatives of APAPR and AAF.
