On Thursday, the Danube reached a new historic low of 1,400 mc/s, according to the spokesperson of the National Administration "Apele Române", Ana-Maria Agiu. This minimum flow will remain stable until August 12, which is good news, considering the stability of the flows for a week. In Cernavodă, the water level is -218 cm, and the forecast indicates a decrease of 10 cm until August 12.

Recent monitoring shows a decrease of 2 cm in the last day. Agiu also mentioned that there is a deficient regime in the Crișana basin, Oltenia, Muntenia, and Moldova, with 80 localities from 12 counties affected by water supply restrictions. The most affected counties include Neamț, Bihor, Bacău, Galați, and Vaslui. In localities without centralized systems, 61 localities from Botoșani, Gorj, and Iași are facing restrictions. The filling coefficient of the main 40 lakes is 71%.
