Alexandru, a 5-year-old boy, was found after two days of searching in the forest and was discharged from the Pediatric Clinical Hospital in Sibiu. The hospital's spokesperson, Ioana Mătăcuță, stated that the child's condition is good and he will be monitored by the family doctor, as well as through the outpatient service. On May 14, Mătăcuță mentioned that the boy was afebrile, with a generally good condition, but he was initially hospitalized due to mild dehydration and interstitial pneumonia.

His disappearance was reported on May 11, when he went missing while with his father in the outskirts of Sebeșu de Jos. He was found with the help of a thermal imaging camera from the IGAv helicopter and was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. The child was conscious and cooperative at the time of being found.
