The Chamber of Deputies has adopted a bill for the implementation of the OECD Convention on Combating Bribery of Foreign Public Officials, thus strengthening the national legal framework.

The draft law, initiated by the Ministry of Justice, aims to implement the OECD recommendations for the prevention and combating of corruption among foreign public officials. The amendments to the criminal legislation and international judicial cooperation are essential to align Romania with international standards. The official accession to the OECD Convention was achieved in 2023, and the adoption of this law represents an important step in Romania's integration into the international community.
