The President of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, Liana Arsenie, announced the referral to the Judicial Inspection and other authorities in the case of judge Laurențiu Beșu, accused of connections with an information structure.

Liana Arsenie, the president of the Bucharest Court of Appeal, stated that, following an investigation conducted by Recorder, it was decided to notify the Judicial Inspection, the Superior Council of Magistracy, the Supreme Council for National Defense, and the National Council for the Study of the Securitate Archives in the case of judge Laurențiu Beșu. He is accused of incompatibility in the exercise of his judicial function, having previous ties to an information structure known as "two and a quarter."

Beșu reacted, stating that information about his activity has always been public, and the Court of Appeal is retaliating because he discussed issues in the judiciary. The court emphasized that his statements are distorted and that it will request verification of the aspects mentioned in the journalistic material.
