The Municipality of Bucharest has summoned nearly 300 individuals and legal entities to clear the snow from the sidewalks, emphasizing that it is their duty to fulfill this obligation within 24 hours of the end of the snowfall.


Sanctions for non-compliance range from 200-500 lei for individuals and 500-2,000 lei for legal entities. Local police have conducted hundreds of inspections and found that most individuals complied, while others promised to take action.


The municipality continues snow removal on boulevards and in public areas, considering that 296 vehicles and 387 workers were mobilized on the night from Sunday to Monday, and on Monday morning, 1,571 workers and 239 vehicles were put into action.
