The Secretary of State in the Ministry of Transport, Ionel Scrioșteanu, presented the progress made in the construction of the first bridge over the Prut in the last six decades. With an execution rate of over 30%, the works are progressing well, and the installation of the metal deck has begun. Scrioșteanu emphasized the importance of this project for the connection between Romania and the Republic of Moldova, as well as for its integration into the European Union. The project is funded through non-reimbursable European funds, with a value of over 151.68 million lei (approximately 35 million euros), and the completion deadline is estimated for July 2026.
