The Archbishop of Constantinople, Bartholomew I, received the 'Constantin Brâncoveanu' award for promoting peace and interreligious dialogue, at a ceremony organized by the Alexandrion Foundation.

Hierarchs from various confessions, diplomats, and representatives of the academic environment participated in the event. Bartolomeu I emphasized the importance of interreligious dialogue and the cultivation of the universal spirit in every human being. He also mentioned his commitment to environmental protection, being known as the "Green Patriarch." Antonio Salameh, the Chairman of the Foundation, presented the award in the name of his father, the founder of the Foundation, highlighting the values promoted by it. The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, highlighted the significance of Bartolomeu I's presence in Romania as a symbol of the unity of Orthodoxy.
