A wave of tropical air, generated by an African anticyclone, is moving towards Eastern Europe, influencing the weather in Romania.

France and Italy are facing severe heat, with a red heat alert, with temperatures reaching up to 45°C in Sardinia. Italian authorities are warning about health risks, already recording deaths associated with the heatwave. In Romania, thermal discomfort will increase starting Wednesday, and from Thursday, maximum temperatures of 30-35°C are expected in Bucharest and other regions.

The ANM forecast indicates a gradual warming across the country, with maximums of 33-34°C in the west and 31-33°C in Muntenia. Although the weather will warm up, atmospheric instability will persist, with showers and thunderstorms forecasted in the next two weeks.
