The tensions within the governmental coalition between PNL and PSD have escalated, with PNL deputy Raluca Turcan accusing PSD of sabotage and prioritizing political interests at the expense of public ones.

Turcan emphasized that if PSD provokes a governmental crisis, PNL will no longer be able to continue the collaboration. Deputy Gigel Știrbu added that PSD does not delay decisions out of responsibility, but to gain control over justice and corruption cases. He stated that the extension of the coalition is a "rescue operation" for PSD, which is negotiating its immunity. PNL has adopted a resolution supporting governmental stability and demanding that PSD respect the coalition agreement. PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu announced an internal consultation on April 20 regarding the future of the collaboration.
