The Teleradio Moldova Company (TRM) reacted publicly after the scandal generated by the points awarded by the Moldovan jury to Alexandra Căpitănescu at Eurovision, where the jury gave only 3 points, while the public gave 12. TRM explained that the judging was based exclusively on the performances from "Dress Rehearsal 2" and that the jurors were obliged to watch all performances in full. Additionally, TRM emphasized that it did not influence the jury's decisions, which was independent, and appointed a notary to ensure the transparency of the voting process. Victoria Cușnir, one of the jurors, commented on the discrepancies between the jury's vote and that of the public, stating that the performance during rehearsal was different from that in the final. She rejected accusations of Romanian-phobia, emphasizing that her vote was based on artistic criteria and not on external influences. Cușnir acknowledged that voting differences were common and suggested that the jury could be eliminated in the future to avoid such controversies.
