Technical discussions on the Salary Law, at the Cotroceni Palace, between representatives of the former coalition and presidential advisor Radu Burnete

On Tuesday, at the Cotroceni Palace, technical discussions are taking place between representatives of the former coalition parties and presidential advisor Radu Burnete (photo), focusing on the final form of the salary law and the amendments proposed by the unions. Depending on the outcome of these discussions, a meeting of party leaders with President Nicușor Dan is scheduled for Wednesday to finalize the agreement on this law from the PNRR.

PSD, through President Sorin Grindeanu, has stated that it will not support the current version of the law, which displeases various professional categories, including doctors and teachers. Grindeanu emphasized that PSD will submit amendments and will vote for the law only if these are accepted. PNL has announced that it will submit the salary law project in Parliament and supports organizing an extraordinary session for the adoption of the laws necessary to meet the milestones from the PNRR, warning that amendments not compliant with the requirements of the European Commission could affect European funds.
