The drinking water crisis in Tarnaveni, caused by the high salinity of the Târnava Mica river, has sparked outrage among citizens. The Mureș County Committee for Emergency Situations recognized the seriousness of the situation, stressing that the lack of water is not only a matter of comfort, but also of health. The Praid salt works was flooded, contaminating the water source. The authorities are working on short- and long-term solutions, including the installation of reverse osmosis systems and the construction of a water supply from Lake Bezid. Drinking water is distributed via tankers and fixed points.
