A student security guard at the Cluj-Napoca Local Police assaulted a teacher after he was caught copying from a smartwatch during an exam.

The incident occurred on June 20, when the student was caught using a smartwatch to copy. After the teacher asked him to hand over the device, the young man became aggressive, grabbing him by the throat. Witnesses intervened to calm the conflict, but the student continued to threaten the teachers. The Babeș-Bolyai University has initiated the expulsion procedure and the teacher will press criminal charges. The authorities have detained the aggressor and the case will be analyzed by the Disciplinary Commission.
