Religion teacher from Brașov is under investigation after allegedly rough-handling a sixth-grade student at the end of a lesson

A religion teacher at a high school in Brașov is facing a disciplinary investigation and is being questioned by police after being filmed manhandling and pulling the clothes of a sixth-grade student at the end of a lesson. The incident allegedly occurred after the student disrupted the class, and footage recorded by a classmate was made public.

According to representatives of the Brașov County School Inspectorate, the teacher allegedly tried to take the student to the school administration. The child reportedly refused, and the gestures captured in the footage allegedly occurred during the incident. The Brașov County School Inspectorate announced that the teacher will be summoned before the disciplinary committee and that, since this is his first offense, he risks receiving a warning.

The high school management announced that it had opened an internal investigation and convened the disciplinary committee. The school’s principal said she regretted the incident and that the police had been informed.

The student’s mother criticized the teacher’s behavior. He is in his first year at the high school in Brașov, having transferred from another school in the county, and has been teaching for approximately ten years. Contacted by Știrile Pro TV, the teacher declined to comment.
