Strong explosion in an apartment in Caracal, one person injured

A powerful explosion occurred in an apartment located on the 1st floor of a building in Caracal, according to information provided by ISU Olt. The incident caused significant damage, but was not followed by a fire. The owner of the apartment suffered burns on approximately 10% of her body and was urgently transported to Caracal Hospital for medical care.

Following the explosion, 25 people from the four-story building were evacuated. At the scene, crews from the Caracal Detachment and the Slatina Detachment are intervening, equipped with fire-fighting vehicles, high-altitude intervention equipment, CBRN intervention teams, as well as teams from the County Ambulance Service (SAJ) to provide the necessary assistance.
