The Bucharest Transport Company (STB) has put into operation, starting March 28, a new station for passengers, named the National Cathedral of Romania, located on Calea 13 Septembrie. This station was established to facilitate access to the place of worship, which has become a major point of interest in the Capital.
The new stop is served by trolleybus 63 and night bus N101. This measure comes as a result of the improvement works carried out by the road administrator in the area. The National Cathedral of Romania has attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors since the consecration of the painting in October 2025, reinforcing its status as an important tourist attraction. In parallel, TPBI has extended the route of STB line 196, providing a direct connection between Băneasa Airport, North Station, and Filaret Bus Station. These changes aim to adapt the public transport network to the new passenger flows and the development of areas of interest in Bucharest.
